The Yard is proud to announce its presence at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, where our founder and senior VFX supervisor, Laurens Ehrmann, will join an exclusive round table exploring the dynamic relationship between production and visual effects in the UK and France.<\/p>\n

‘Crossing Channels: Production and VFX in the UK and France’<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The session is presented by the British Film Commission<\/a> in partnership with Film France-CNC<\/a>. It will be moderated by Adrian Wootton, CEO of the British Film Commission, and feature leading figures from both sides of the Channel: Neil Hatton, Chief Executive of UK Screen Alliance<\/a>; Michael Illingworth, Founder and Creative Director of Vine FX; and Daphne Lora, Head of Film France.<\/p>\n

Drawing on The Yard’s cross-border experience, Laurens will share perspectives on the evolving landscape of VFX collaboration, the talent pools emerging in both countries, and the opportunities that arise when creative and technical excellence converge across national lines.<\/p>\n

This panel promises to be an engaging conversation spotlighting the shared ambitions and unique capabilities that make the UK and France leaders in the global VFX and production industries.<\/p>\n
