Fans of « The Walking Dead » franchise are in for a treat at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con International ! « The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol » is set to premiere on AMC and AMC + on September 29, 2024, and attendees at Comic-Con 2024 will have the exclusive first look at the upcoming season. Make sure to mark your calendars for July 26 at 2:45 PM, when the cast and executive producers will gather in Hall H to discuss the highly anticipated second season and debut the official trailer. This exciting event will be moderated by Chris Hardwick.

A Sneak Peek into Season 2
Ahead of the Comic-Con event, Entertainment Weekly has published an exclusive look at season 2, where Melissa McBride discusses the return of her character, Carol Peletier. Carol made a surprise appearance in the final scene of season 1, igniting curiosity about her journey in the upcoming season. McBride hints that Carol’s return will be driven by a new kind of determination, fearlessness and a particular « headspace » as she searches for her old friend, Daryl.
Norman Reedus also shared insights about what fans can expect:
There’s a lot of action in season 2. There’s a lot of business and a lot of very heartfelt moments. There’s also a lot of hero stuff with Melissa. It’s beautiful.
Reedus even goes on to make a bold statement, calling the season 2 finale “the best one hour of Walking Dead anything ever,” a claim sure to excite longtime fans of the series. Entertainment Weekly also adds that the show will also continue to differentiate itself from the original series with unique locations, music, and tonal shifts.
