The PIDS Enghien, celebrating its 11th edition this year, has firmly established itself as the must-attend event for visual effects in France. Bringing together nearly 3,500 attendees over four days, the PIDS Enghien is a cornerstone of the VFX industry for both the big and small screen.

Organized at the Centre des Arts, the 2025 edition promises an exciting program: exclusive visuals from blockbuster films released in 2024, case studies revealing the secrets behind the latest major international productions, round-table discussions, and debates exploring the economic, technological, and creative challenges of the sector. Attendees will also have the chance to meet the creative minds shaping the future of imagery, including directors, visual effects supervisors, and producers.

As is tradition, the PIDS Enghien will once again bring together the French VFX community to tackle the evolving creative, technical, and economic challenges of the industry – save the date for January 22 -25 2025 !

The Yard at PIDS Enghien 2025

This year, The Yard is thrilled to participate in various activities throughout the event, including case studies, round-table discussions, and the job fair. Here’s an overview of The Yard’s presence at PIDS Enghien 2025:

Round Tables :

January 22nd – 4:15pm

Come and learn from Laurens Ehrmann, founder and Senior VFX Supervision, as he will share his insights on the past ten years and upcoming decade in the VFX industry.

Laurens Ehrmann, Founder and Senior VFX Supervisor, will join a PIDSBiz conference titled “10 Years That Have Changed Everything, That Will Change Everything?”

January, 24th – 5:00pm

Noemie Cauvin, Head of DMP at French VFX studio The Yard, will be joining a round table at PIDS 2025 and will discuss the evolution of this speciality in a dynamic VFX industry.

Case Studies :

January 23rd- 4:45pm

Harry Bardak, Head of VFX, will present The Yard’s impressive work on the environments for Halo: Season 2.

January, 24th – 2:00pm

Laurens Ehrmann will take attendees on a journey into Khazad-dûm with a presentation on The Yard’s VFX contributions to The Rings of Power: Season 2.

Job Fair :

On Friday, January 24th, The Yard’s Talent Recruitment Manager, Mathilde Chambras, will be onsite at the job fair to meet with aspiring VFX talent.

Genie Awards :

Last but not least, The Yard’s teams will proudly attend the Genie Awards Ceremony on January 22nd, following the announcement of our nominations in three categories : Best Visual Effects in a Series – Best Environment – Best FX.

The Yard is nominated for the 2025 Genie Award in the best visual effects for a series category for its works on The Rings of Power - Season 2.

The Yard VFX is nominated for the 2025 Genie Awards in the best visual effects in a series category for The Walking Dead : Daryl Dixon - Season 2, alongside all the other VFX vendors who worked on the project.

The Yard VFX is nominated for the 2025 Genie Awards in the Best Environment category for its work on The Rings of Power Season 2.

The Yard is nominated for the 2025 Genie awards in the Best FX category for its work on The Rings of Power-Season 2.
