What an incredible moment ! The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 has triumphed at the 2025 BAFTA TV Craft Awards, winning in the Special, Visual and Graphic Effects category ! The award was announced during yesterday’s ceremony in London, a celebration of the exceptional creativity, skill, and craft behind the scenes of television, recognizing the very best programmes of 2024.
Our heartfelt congratulations to Jason Smith, Richard Bain, Ryan Conder, and Chris Rodgers, who proudly collected the award. Their incredible artistry and leadership helped bring the world of Middle-earth to life in breathtaking detail.
We are especially honoured that our teams at The Yard had the opportunity to contribute to this amazing journey, collaborating alongside the many other talented VFX and post-production vendors involved in the series. A very special thank you to Jason Smith for kindly mentioning The Yard in his acceptance speech — it means the world to us and we are all extremely proud to have been part of such a remarkable production.
