A Spotlight on Fiction and Animation Series

This year, a special focus will be placed on audiovisual technologies serving the creation of fiction and animation series, two strategic sectors driving audiovisual activity and innovation in the Occitanie region.

Through a dedicated conference program, attendees will explore the creative, technical, and production challenges shaping today’s entertainment industry.

Inside the VFX of Stranger Things 5

The France-based VFX studio The Yard worked on some car chase sequences for Netflix's Stranger Things 5

One of the highlights of this year’s program will feature The Yard VFX, invited to present its work on the highly anticipated final season of Stranger Things, whose visual effects were produced in Montpellier and Paris.

During this exclusive session, The Yard VFX will take audiences behind the scenes of the visual effects production for the iconic series. One of the major creative challenges was reinventing the iconic “Upside Down” universe while preserving the visual identity that helped define a generation of streaming entertainment.

From Paris to Montpellier, the independent French studio, represented by Harry Bardak, VFX Supervisor, Eve Chauvet, CG Supervisor, and Jeremy Pierre, Compositing Supervisor, will reveal how an agile production structure collaborates with some of the world’s largest studios to deliver complex, large-scale VFX work for global franchises.

Stay tuned as more information will soon be shared.
