Stranger Things 5, for which the France VFX studio The Yard provided VFX services, is nominated in 7 categories for the 2026 Emmy Awards, including in the Outstanding Special Visual Effects.

Yesterday, July 8, the Television Academy announced the official nominations for the 78th Emmy® Awards, unveiling the incredibly talented nominees for this year’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards.

In the Academy’s official press release, Television Academy Chair Cris Abrego highlighted the staggering diversity and depth of this season’s global television lineup:

"This year's nominees represent the extraordinary creativity and artistry that make television such a dynamic form of entertainment. The breadth of work recognized this year — from intimate character-driven comedies and satires to fantasy, thrillers, and costume dramas — demonstrates that great storytelling knows no bounds. We're proud to celebrate the artists and craftspeople behind these remarkable achievements and look forward to honoring them at the Emmys this September."

Stranger Things 5 has received 7 nominations at the 2026 Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Special Visual Effects, to which the France-based VFX studio The Yard conributed.

Here at The Yard, we are absolutely overjoyed for all the creative teams, artists, and production units who poured their talent into Stranger Things 5.

The cultural phenomenon has been recognized with 7 Emmy nominations, including a prestigious nod for Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Season or a Movie.

We want to extend our most sincere congratulations to all of this year’s nominees. The entire team at The Yard is incredibly thrilled and proud to have participated in bringing this iconic final season to life, collaborating alongside a truly phenomenal VFX supervisor and production team.

The Creative Arts Emmy Awards will take place over two nights on Saturday, Sept. 5, and Sunday, Sept. 6, 2026.
