The companies shortlisted for the César & Techniques Trophy 2026 have been unveiled! The Yard is extremely proud to have been selected by the Technical Industries Committee of the Academy of Arts and Techniques of Cinema.

The French Academy of Arts and Techniques of Cinema has just released its latest announcement, unveiling the list of shortlisted companies for the 2026 César & Techniques Trophy, as well as for the 2026 Innovation Prize.

Two laureates will be elected through a vote open to a wide and representative professional body: all technicians eligible for the six César Techniques categories, all production and post-production directors of films competing for the César for Best Film 2026, the nominees of the César Techniques over the past two years, as well as the executives of FICAM-member companies. The secure online vote, conducted via secret ballot and under the supervision of a judicial officer, will run from January 5 to January 12, 2026, closing at 7 p.m.

At The Yard, we are extremely proud to share that our application has been officially approved for the 2026 César & Techniques Trophy. This distinction shines a spotlight on the companies that drive the technical heart of French cinema—especially those that have stood out through a meaningful event, a strong development strategy, or a significant contribution to film production over the past year. It is a recognition of the studio’s strong alignment with national cinema priorities and its proven contribution to the industry’s growth. Through the expansion of its Montpellier studio, the attraction of experienced French talent returning from abroad, training of the next generation of artists, and its contributions to French and international production, The Yard strives to strengthen France’s position as a global reference in visual effects.

We are honored to be part of this talented selection and wish to extend our warmest congratulations to all the shortlisted companies. Your achievements and innovations elevate the entire industry.

Now, we keep our fingers crossed and eagerly await January 12, when the winners will be announced. Until then, we celebrate the collective excellence of France’s technical cinema community—and the vibrant creativity that continues to push it forward.
