Get ready for a fresh cinematic touch from the south of France, as the trailer for « Fragile, » the debut feature film by French director Emma Benestan, is now available. Entirely shot in Sète, a picturesque town in the beautiful Occitanie region, the film explores themes of love, friendship, and societal dynamics.
« Fragile » is a word often used to describe boys who are in love, those who show their feelings too openly or dare to reveal their vulnerabilities. This is also how Az, the main character, is described. After his marriage proposal is rejected by Jessica, an up-and-coming actress on the sets of TV series in Sète, he decides to learn to dance in a bid to win her back, encouraged by his childhood friend, Lila. However, he quickly confronts harsh realities: his social standing, origins, and job as an oyster farmer set him apart from the glamorous media world Jessica belongs to. Lila urges him to hold his head high, helping him to uncover both his strengths and his fragility.
