Laurens Ehrmann represented The Yard at the 77th Creative Arts Emmy Awards, where The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power – Season 2 was nominated in the category of Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Season or a Movie!
The 77th Creative Arts Emmy Awards took place this weekend at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, celebrating the very best in television across more than 50 categories. This prestigious event brought together the world’s most talented artists, creators, and craftspeople to honor outstanding storytelling, performances, and technical achievements in television and streaming.

This year was particularly exciting for The Yard, as our founder and Creative Director, Laurens Ehrmann, attended the ceremony as part of the VFX team behind The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power – Season 2. The show was nominated in the highly competitive category of Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Season or a Movie — a recognition that reflects the massive creative and technical efforts of everyone involved in bringing Middle-earth to life on screen.
While the Emmy ultimately went to the incredible teams behind Andor and The Penguin – Bliss, we couldn’t be prouder to have been nominated alongside such remarkable productions and visionary VFX teams.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the winners and to all the nominees in this year’s VFX categories. It’s inspiring to see the artistry, innovation, and dedication that continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in visual storytelling.
As we look back on this incredible moment, we feel deeply grateful to have contributed to the magic of The Rings of Power and to stand among the most creative forces in the industry.
