The newly released trailer for Predator: Badlands, directed by Prey‘s Dan Trachtenberg, offers a thrilling first look at the franchise’s most ambitious chapter yet.
Set on a hostile alien world, the film follows Dek, a young outcast Predator played by Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, as he embarks on his first solo hunt for the galaxy’s « definitive apex predator. » He’s reluctantly aided by Thia (Elle Fanning), a damaged android built by Weyland-Yutani, who offers guidance, firepower, and some well-timed sarcasm.
As Dek battles deadly creatures and an unseen third party, the trailer teases high-stakes action, sharp character dynamics, and a fresh take on the franchise. With Dek refusing to be “prey to none,” Badlands looks to deliver a thrilling reversal of roles.
