PIDS Enghien 2026, the Visual Effects Festival, returns for its 12th edition from January 21 to 24, 2026, at the Centre des Arts in Enghien-les-Bains. Dedicated to the creative, technical, and economic challenges of the VFX industry, the event brings together global industry leaders for three days of conferences featuring over 60 speakers.

This year’s highlights include exclusive behind-the-scenes presentations by The Yard on Predator: Badlands and Stranger Things Season 5, as well as key discussions on the industry’s economic stakes, concluded by Gaëtan Bruel, President of the CNC.

This year, The Yard is thrilled to participate in various activities throughout the event, including case studies, round-table discussions, and the job fair. Here’s an overview of The Yard’s presence at PIDS Enghien 2026:

Roundtable :

January 21 – 3:15pm

Building Europe’s VFX Future: The France–UK Advantage

Laurens Ehrmann, Founder and Creative Director, will join a PIDSBiz conference titled “Building Europe’s VFX Future: The France–UK Advantage,” moderated by World VFX Day’s Halley Miller.

He will discuss how France and the UK are reshaping the European VFX landscape. From talent development to production capacity and international co-workflows, this session highlights the strengths and complementarities driving new opportunities.

Case Studies :

January 22- 4:15pm

Laurens Ehrmann, Founder and Creative Director, will present The Yard’s work on Predator : Badlands, encompassing environment, creatures and characters, and much more.

January, 23 – 5:15pm

Harry Bardak, VFX Supervisor, will take attendees on a journey into the iconic Upside Down and beyond in his presentation on The Yard’s VFX contributions to Stranger Things 5.

Mentoring & Networking :

Matthieu Hoffmann, Chief People Officer, and Mathilde Chambras, Talent Acquisition Manager, will be joining the special « Mentoring & Networking » session with selected students, on January 23.

Genie Awards :

Last but not least, The Yard’s teams will proudly attend the Genie Awards Ceremony on January 21, following the announcement of our five nominations this year !

We are very proud that our Predator Badlands got nominated in three categories : Best Film – Best Characters/Creatiures – Best Environment, Stranger Things 5 in the Best Series category, and Etoile in Best Effects Simulation.
