Last month, on June 20, The Yard VFX celebrated the opening of its new studio in Montpellier during a very special evening party, which was attended by major players in Montpellier and Occitanie region, including our key partners : ArtFX school, Dark Matters, PICS Studio and GGL.
On this special occasion, Hind Emad, Vice-President for economic and digital development at Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, gave a warm welcome to The Yard :
On behalf of Michaël Delafosse, President of Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, and of the Occitanie region, I'd like to say how proud and delighted we are to welcome you to Montpellier. Thank you for brining us all together. I think it's moments like these that make new projects rise.
Laurens Ehrmann, Founder and CEO of The Yard, also thanked everyone for joining the event. He expressed his happiness on the opening of the new branch of The Yard in Montpellier as a way to develop the company’s mission of keeping and attracting international projects in France, so that French talent can stay in France and in the region.
That's what unites ArtFX, PICS Studio and Dark Matters today : a passion for images, and a passion for people too - working with people, and putting people back at the heart of our businesses and our projects. Our ambition is to continue to grow here in Montpellier, and create around 50 new jobs over the next 18 months. By doing so, we wish to contribute enabling talented students and professionals in VFX to stay in the region.
