The companies shortlisted for the César & Techniques Trophy 2024 have been unveiled! The Yard is extremely proud to have been selected by the Technical Industries Committee of the Academy of Arts and Techniques of Cinema.
Breaking News – today, the Technical Industries Committee of the Academy of Arts and Techniques of Cinema has announced, in a press release, the French technical service companies for cinema that will compete for the César & Techniques Trophy 2024.
We are extremely proud at The Yard to see that our studio has been selected along with 12 other companies in production, VFX and post-production, sound, audiovisual equipment, wig and costumes, SFX, subtitling industies.
The César & Techniques Trophy highlights companies in the technical film industry in France, particularly those that have distinguished themselves for their ability to promote an event, a development strategy, or a specific contribution to film production during the past year.
2023 has been a very special year at The Yard. We are proud to have contributed with our VFX work on such wonderful projects, whether for international productions or amazing stories with renowned French directors. We couldn’t be more grateful to the industry for their recognition at the 2023 Cesar Awards for Best Visual Effects on ‘Notre Dame on Fire‘, directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud, and the 2023 Genie Award for Best Environment for ‘Enola Holmes 2‘. Winning the call for the France 2030 project ‘La Grande Fabrique de l’Image’ was a key milestone that allowed us to deploy further our strategy to place the French VFX industry on the global map and contribute to developing VFX in regions such as Montpellier.
The winning company will be chosen by all eligible individuals for the six Technical César awards, all production and post-production directors of films competing for the Best Film César 2024, the Technical César nominees from the past two years, as well as the leaders of member companies of Ficam.
We keep our fingers crossed for results in January !
